Sadbhavna Divas 2019 :
Sadbhavna Divas is also known as “A day for Peace and Harmony”.
Every year on 20th August 2019 celebrated as Sadbhavana Diwas. In the memory of late Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi, the Sadbhavana Diwas is celebrated. paying homage to his memory and Legacy, close family member and senior Congress member lay down on Veer Bhoomi, where he was cremated.
In English, Sadbhavna means goodwill and bonafide. Shri Rajiv Gandhi as the youngest Prime Minister of the nation, tries to propagate communal harmony, peace and national integrity within India and was known for the goodwill Ambassador to the world.
As Rajiv Gandhi was very young his thoughts was also very modern in today youth also can co-relate with him. He had seen many vision towards our country as a developed nation as well as many international projects that he pioneered.
Brief view of Rajiv Gandhi :
At the age of 40, Rajiv Gandhi became the first Prime Minister, born into perhaps the most powerful family of India. Serving from 1984- 1989 , he was often called a reluctant Prime Minister.
However the young Leader was visionary, So he served for his country as much capacity he has.
He had given his full emotions and all of his most powerful thoughts as well as full energy towards his country.
Celebration of sadbhavana Divas :
The people of India celebrated as Sadbhavana Diwas with great enthusiasm by those who admire the man. Competition cultural festival are conducted in different part of the country.
By taking care of the environment, many people also celebrated as plant trees.
So in many School Sadbhavna rally is also conducted.
Family members and Congress Party leader pay respect to Rajiv Gandhi by visiting veer Bhoomi, the place where his last rites had been performed.
Pledge of Sadbhavana Diwas :
With great enthusiasm Sadbhavana Diwas is celebrated all over the Nation.
on this day, the pledge is also taken by most of the people across the country. Which is as :
” I take this Solemn pledge, that I will work for the emotional oneness and harmony of all the people of India , regardless of Caste, region, religion, or language. I further pledge that, I will resolve all the difference among us through dialogue and constitutional means without resorting to violence”.
Rajiv Gandhi National Sadbhavana Award :
In 1992, a year after death of Rajiv Gandhi, the Indian national instituted Rajiv Gandhi National Sadbhavana award. In the field of promoting, harmony and peace, this Award has been given.
On 20th August , every year, Rajiv Gandhis Birth Anniversary is celebrated.
Importance of Sadbhavana Diwas :
To mark the birth of our sixth and youngest prime minister, this day is also celebrated.
On this day, the contribution for the betterment of the society are made.
Rajiv Gandhi had left a deep Imprint on several hearts, not only just with his charming persona but also by his inspiring words.
“India is an old Country but a very Young Nation”; and like the young everywhere, we are impatient.
Like others, I am young and I too have a lot of dreams which i have to fulfill in any how conditions for the betterment of the society. I dream of India, a Strong and Independent Nation and in the forefront of the front ranks of the nations of the world in the service for the betterment of mankind,” said Gandhi.
